"LIFE IS A DREAM" - ACADEMY OF EVIL

The 29th edition of Art Trema Fest in Ruma opened with the performance "Life is a Dream" , based on the text by Pedro Calderon de la Barca, directed and adapted by Dina Markova and performed by Theater ZONG from Bulgaria.

This philosophical drama of the "Spanish Shakespeare" is translated by the young author tandem Dina Markova and Boyan Arsov into a timeless story about a dream - about a prince who dreams that he is an abandoned child, or about an abandoned child who dreams that he is a prince.

The dramaturgy of the performance is particularly inventive: the character of Stella is completely removed - and within this concept, her absence is not felt - and the text itself is carefully adapted to match the expressive language that the creative team is looking for.

This team - director Dina Markova and Boyan Arsov, responsible for stage movement and choreography - builds a distinctive theatrical form based on physical presence and atmosphere.
