An "outsider" wanders through a haunted forest

A theatrical mystery opened the second creative season of Yalta Art Room

The newest cultural space in the capital, Yalta Art Room, opened its second creative season with the premiere of the theatrical mystery "Outsider" - a project born in collaboration between the versatile actor Boyan Arsov and director Dina Markova, his fellow student from Prof. Snezina Tankovska's class, class of 2016, at the National Academy of Dramatic Arts and Film. The two are the creators of the "Zong" theater, and in this case, she is the author of the dramatic text and a participant in it, and he is the director and set designer of the performance.

In "The Outsider," a young man named Viktor (Vladimir Kovachev) wanders a haunted forest, desperately searching for traces of his sister who disappeared 15 years ago, for whose death he is blamed. He frantically searches for at least one cigarette, until he arrives at a mysterious psychiatric institution with an even more mysterious hostess. In this strange place, the only cigarette left is from a patient who stayed there decades ago. The clinic turns out to be like the mythical Hotel California: you can enter, but you can never leave. What (not)happens there will make Viktor realize how imperceptibly you can lose yourself and how difficult it is to decipher the confused identities of others. Will he manage to find what he is looking for, or will he remain forever locked within the walls of the past?...
